Transforming David Dastmalchian's creature feature comic series into a feast of 80's horror nostalgia!
Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter was the debut comic from award-winning actor David Dastmalchian (Dune, Oppenheimer, The Dark Knight, Suicide Squad). I had the opportunity to develop the marketing campaign from the ground up, from live-action trailers and digital ads to collector’s edition print materials and more. Working side-by-side with David and bringing his vision to life made this one of the most genuinely fun, inspiring, and rewarding projects of my career.

COUNT CROWLEY TRAILERS
The making of the Count Crowley live-action trailers was fun beyond my wildest dreams. I flew to LA with a suitcase packed with sound equipment, lights, and extension cords. Our tiny crew, Director Collin Schiffli, DP Bongani Mlambo, and makeup artist Kelly Goldsack, met up at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater on a late-May night to shoot the scrappy trailer series starring David Dastmalchian as Dr. Fearless.

COUNT CROWLEY TRADING CARDS
The collector’s edition character trading cards were another fun part of the campaign, leaning into the ’80s horror nostalgia at the heart of Count Crowley. I designed each card using Lukas Ketner’s incredible artwork, creating a collectible that felt right at home in the world of the comic series.
